About Elfishki
Elka Palka Production LLC was formed in Southern California in March 2011 by book illustrator Inessa Kirianova; author Elvira Baryakina, and IT project manager Pavel Mamaev.
The company produces iPhone and iPad applications and interactive books based on the Elfishki brand. The target audience of our products is kids five to nine years old.
Elfishki are little fairy tale creatures who live on the beautiful Rainbow Island in the middle of the Sparkling Sea. They can fly like butterflies or swim like mermaids.
The Elfishki book series has a special feature—there are no bad characters in the stories. Any character has his or her perspective, and reading our fairy tales, children learn to appreciate the differences in the points of view and figure out a way to come up with win-win solutions.
Another quality that separates the Elfishki series from everyone else is that our stories focus on teaching children conscious reading skills, arts, music, and a creative approach to life in general.
We publish our books in English and Russian and soon will add other languages as well. All of our stories feature interactive illustrations with classic animation, original music, and sound effects. In the Elfishki series, we are looking to create a combination of fun, art, and child development. That is why we add to each fairy tale a set of comprehension questions and a bonus game to boost children’s creativity and imagination.
